PORTAFOLIO COMPLETO - V1 (Inglés) / Synth + mar[2] (Inglés)

“Synth + mar[2]” is an innovative artistic endeavor that seamlessly blends marine science with electronic music to craft a generative and immersive soundscape rooted in authentic oceanographic data. This project leverages real-time information gathered from coastal buoys, transforming each physicochemical parameter of the sea—such as temperature, salinity, and pressure—into intricate sound modulations through sophisticated algorithms. The result is a dynamic auditory representation that mirrors the ever-changing nature of oceanic environments, offering listeners a unique sensory experience that encapsulates the fluidity and complexity of marine ecosystems.

At its core, “Synth + mar[2]” seeks to transcend traditional artistic boundaries by integrating advanced technology with natural elements. The installation features biomorphic sculptures constructed from reclaimed wooden materials, which serve as resonant bodies that amplify and enrich the generated sounds. These sculptures are not merely decorative; they are integral components that interact with the sound waves, creating a harmonious blend of visual and auditory stimuli. This fusion of art and technology emphasizes the symbiotic relationship between humanity and the natural world, highlighting how technological advancements can be harnessed to deepen our understanding and appreciation of environmental phenomena.

Beyond its technical and aesthetic aspects, “Synth + mar[2]” serves as a profound commentary on the interconnectedness of marine and terrestrial systems. By translating scientific data into an artistic medium, the project invites viewers to engage with the ocean’s rhythms and patterns in a more intimate and contemplative manner. This immersive experience encourages a deeper reflection on the impact of human activities on marine ecosystems and underscores the critical importance of sustainability and conservation efforts. Through its creative dialogue between disciplines, “Synth + mar[2]” not only entertains but also educates, fostering a heightened environmental consciousness and inspiring proactive stewardship of our planet’s precious marine resources.

Furthermore, “Synth + mar[2]” embodies the potential of art as a bridge between scientific inquiry and public awareness. By making complex oceanographic data accessible and emotionally resonant, the installation demystifies scientific concepts and makes them relatable to a broader audience. This approach democratizes knowledge, allowing individuals from diverse backgrounds to connect with and understand the intricate dynamics of marine life. The project’s emphasis on real-time interaction and adaptability ensures that each visitor’s experience is unique, reinforcing the notion that our relationship with nature is both personal and ever-evolving.
