Embarking on my passion project, A Series of Red, I delve into the profound significance of the color red in Chinese culture—a tapestry woven into the fabric of my being. Red is not just a hue but a symphony of emotions, embodying love, prosperity, and spirituality. Through my lens, I explore the interplay between tradition and modernity, capturing crimson tones across ancient temples and neon-lit cityscapes.

To merge realism with a touch of fantasy, I co-curated elements of this work with AI, specifically the plants and objects floating through the space. These surreal, dreamlike elements create a visual juxtaposition, where the familiar meets the unreal, blurring boundaries between the natural and the imagined. This collaboration allowed me to amplify the ethereal essence of the series while maintaining its grounding in cultural symbolism.

In this visual dialogue, I confront the dichotomy of nature versus nurture, examining how our environments shape cultural beliefs. Red, beyond symbolism, becomes a conduit to the divine, resonating with gods and celestial beings. Through A Series of Red, I invite viewers to contemplate the transcendental power of color and its ability to shape perceptions and beliefs.

Join me on this journey where tradition meets modernity, and reality converges with fantasy. Through A Series of Red, I illuminate the intricacies of culture, spirituality, and the human experience—one frame at a time.
