[in]active connection

Offering voice and platform, social media satiates the human longing for connection, to know others and be known by others. While the communicative impact and power of these digital spaces is undeniable, this curated performance comes at a cost. Echo chambers of standardized disconnect and division continue to be built through algorithms and shortening attention spans. May we as users pursue authentic relationship and engage these spaces with sober minds, recognizing our craving for more than these platforms can provide.
