Artwork

My sculpture is a self-portrait with octopus tentacles, exploring the complex and fluid nature of identity. The octopus, known for its intelligence, adaptability, and ability to navigate the sea serves as a symbol for the multifaceted aspects of who we are as people. The tentacles, wrapping around the portrait, represent the various layers of my identity—some visible, some hidden—that constantly shift and grow in response to the world around me.The piece aims to express the dynamic and ever-changing experience of my personal selfhood. The self-portrait is both a reflection of who I am and an exploration of how personal experiences, external forces, and inner growth shape ourselves. Each tentacle symbolizes different parts of my personality and life that engages with the world in unexpected ways.
